Kadima: Jewish Minneapolis COVID relief

It's vital to our Jewish community that local schools, synagogues, camps, and organizations make it through this period of uncertainty and stress.

That's where Kadima comes in. That's where you come in.

What is Kadima?

When COVID-19 hit, the Jewish community felt it. Seniors in Jewish housing were isolated; healthcare workers were overworked and vulnerable. Students and teachers scrambled to adjust. Camps lost an entire year of revenue.

Minneapolis Jewish Federation and 20+ other organizations launched Kadima in response to this community crisis.

It's an emergency campaign with staying power. It's a campaign for and by the Minneapolis Jewish community—because the only way forward is together.

When you donate to Kadima, your gift is helping more than 20 local Jewish organizations emerge from this pandemic even better than before.

What does your gift fund?

Urgent needs in the wake of COVID-19, crucial improvements to allow the Barry Family Campus to reopen in full, and security upgrades for the entire Twin Cities Jewish community. (More about what Kadima gifts have funded so far.)

How much has been raised so far?

Kadima has raised more than $13 million since launching in July. Can you help the community reach $39 million by July?

What are people saying about Kadima?

"It’s a no-brainer. The more we’re together, and the more we are stronger together, and the more we foster that as leaders, agencies—we only get stronger. It’s been true for the Jewish community throughout history." —J.B. Borenstein, Torah Academy Executive Director

"The level of trust that exists between these agencies is something we’ve been working toward and that we’re proud of. We hope this is the start of a pattern for many years to come." —Kris and John MacDonald, Kadima Chairs

"While the JCRC has been focused on community security for the past two decades, recent upticks in antisemitic incidents underscore the urgent need to ensure that the Jewish communities of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota have the training, resources, and expertise to enhance safety and security.” —Steve Hunegs, Executive Director, Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas
