These 5 quotes will make you want to support Jewish education in MPLS

Super Funday is coming! Yes, the free food, drinks, and fun are exciting—but we’re even more thrilled about the $10,000 match supporting MJF’s Jewish education impact area.

An anonymous donor is matching up to $10,000 to benefit our Jewish Education impact area. This impact area includes 7 local Jewish schools and a special education funding pool. Chances are, you or someone you know has a child who's benefited from a local Jewish day or supplemental school. If not, just try not to smile at some of these thoughts from local parents, teachers, and students:

“Being in a small school, we had opportunities that girls in big schools don’t have.  We were friends with girls older and younger than we were.  We were never lost in the crowd.  Each one of us had multiple responsibilities in school.  We learned to be leaders because everyone was always the head of something.  We had a sense of importance.  This is something that carries through to my life today.   Even with all the responsibilities at home and at work, I can multi-task and lead by using my skills to volunteer for my shul and my children’s school.  I learned at Bais Yakov that I can be important and really make a difference.”

Wow!!!! Our girls came home soooo excited about their first day back at school!!! I don't think I've ever seen so much excitement about learning before. They sat me down on the sofa and told me all about their new teachers and how wonderful, nice and even funny, they are. They said it was the best day ever!!! Needless to say I had to hear it 3 times. LOL I wanted to share this with you so you could have Nachas from all of your hard work. Your continued investment in assuring our school has quality, caring, loving and enthusiastic teachers and staff is really beginning to shine!!!!

Each of our kids has, in their own way, referenced the school’s core values as touchstones in their development as learners and more importantly as human beings, and each sees those enduring values as guideposts for their futures. This school is beyond a gem in our community and we’re so grateful that 18 years ago our initial search for a school with strong and early foreign language led us to Heilicher.

It has been amazing for us to witness a joy in the Hebrew language that has been missing for years. We are so excited to watch our students advance through the various units of Hebrew Through Movement in the years to come!
